What Makes NUST BBA Different?

NUST Business School's BBA program stands out because of its Harvard Business School licensing agreement — the curriculum uses HBS case studies, which means students learn by analysing real business scenarios rather than memorising theory. This case-method teaching is rare in Pakistan and gives NBS graduates a significant edge in job interviews.

Curriculum Structure

The first two years cover core business fundamentals: financial accounting, managerial economics, business statistics, principles of marketing, organisational behaviour, business communication, and financial management. Years three and four focus on the chosen specialisation. Students also complete a six-week compulsory internship during the summer break after year two and a final-year capstone project.

Specialisations Offered

Marketing covers brand management, consumer behaviour, digital marketing, and advertising. Finance covers investment analysis, corporate finance, financial markets, and risk management. Human Resource Management covers talent acquisition, performance management, training and development, and organisational development. Supply Chain Management covers logistics, procurement, inventory management, and operations strategy. Each specialisation includes 5-6 elective courses.

Fee Structure

Tuition at NBS is PKR 275,400 per semester (higher than engineering programs at PKR 197,050). BBA students also pay an additional HBS licensing fee of PKR 15,000 per year for access to the Harvard Business School case study database. Total annual tuition: approximately PKR 550,000 plus PKR 15,000 HBS fee. Hostel and mess add approximately PKR 150,000/year.

Placement Record

NBS BBA graduates have strong placement outcomes. Top recruiters include Unilever (management trainee program), Procter and Gamble, Nestle Pakistan, Engro Corporation, HBL and UBL (management trainee officer), McKinsey and Company, and Deloitte. The career development centre at NBS organises on-campus recruitment drives and internship placements. Starting salaries range from PKR 60,000-120,000/month depending on the employer and role.

Admission and Merit

BBA is one of the most competitive programs at NUST. NET merit typically requires 75%+. The program is offered at the H-12 campus only. The school also considers A-Level and other equivalent qualifications through the SAT route.
