About the NUMS
The NUMS entry test is the National University of Medical Sciences' own admission test for MBBS and BDS, used by NUMS-affiliated and Army medical colleges. Unlike the provincial MDCAT, it is split into an academic Part A — 150 MCQs across Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English, carrying 95% of the weight — and a shorter psychological Part B. There is no negative marking, so attempting every question pays off.
NUMS also calculates merit differently: the aggregate is 50% NUMS test score and 50% F.Sc (Pre-Medical) marks, and you must clear at least 50% to qualify. Because Biology dominates the paper, depth in Biology and Chemistry is the biggest lever on your score.
